Innovation Award 2024: Driving force for biotechnology innovations
The 2024 Innovation Prize, awarded by the Working Group of BioRegions in Germany, highlights significant achievements in the fields of biotechnology and medical technology. This prestigious prize, awarded for the seventeenth time, is aimed at scientists and research institutions that can demonstrate outstanding research results and inventions with high innovation potential.
What is being awarded?
The prize focuses on patent applications or already granted patents in the fields of modern biotechnology and medical technology.
Eligibility
: Scientists and public legal entities who are either inventors or holders of the relevant patent applications or patents are eligible to participate. Newly founded companies may also apply, provided they have not yet generated significant revenue or sold any substantial company shares.
Award and Recognition
: Three winners will each receive a prize of €2,000, and six finalists can hope for the audience award of the same value. The award ceremony will take place during the German Biotechnology Days in April 2024 in Berlin, where the finalists will present their innovations to an international audience of experts.
Invitation to apply:
Interested parties can apply until February 29, 2024, to become part of this event and present their innovative projects to a wider audience.
