Innovative energy efficiency from Kueppers Solutions GmbH

In a world increasingly focused on renewable energy sources and efficiency, Kueppers Solutions GmbH from Dortmund has achieved a significant breakthrough. Their innovative system, the iRecu® recuperative burner, has been nominated for the German Future Prize 2023. This burner represents a substantial advancement in industrial thermal process heat generation by drastically reducing natural gas consumption and associated CO2 emissions.

Nominees Jens te Kaat, Bernd-Henning Feller, and Dan-Adrian Moldovan have developed a system that is not only more efficient but also more versatile than conventional devices. The iRecu® burner is capable of using gases other than natural gas, such as hydrogen, making it a key tool for the energy transition.

The system is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications and can reduce natural gas consumption by 12 to 50 percent compared to conventional burners. This leads to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions and cuts nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by more than half, which is of great benefit to both the environment and human health.

The German Future Prize 2023 award ceremony, for which Kueppers Solutions GmbH is nominated, will be streamed live on ZDF on November 22nd starting at 6 pm.
