EIT Urban Mobility calls for submissions of new solutions – focus on scalability, market readiness and European cooperation
On June 19, 2025, EIT Urban Mobility launched its new Strategic Innovation Open Call, aimed at innovators from across Europe. The goal is to promote effective solutions to the most pressing challenges in urban mobility and to accelerate their market launch.
The focus is on ambitious projects with high market potential that address specific problems faced by cities, authorities, and mobility providers. Funding aims to minimize development risks and enable scaling across Europe. EIT Urban Mobility relies on collaboration within the so-called "knowledge triangle"—education, research, and business—supplemented by cities as a fourth key player.

- Public transport
- Mobility data management
- Electrification and alternative fuels
- Health and Mobility
Financing:
A total of €60 million is available for the period 2026–2028. €9 million is earmarked for the first application deadline of September 23, 2025. Up to €2 million can be applied for per project, covering 65% of eligible costs. A minimum co-financing share of 35% is required.
