Applications for the second funding round are now possible.
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy has published a second funding guideline for the major European project in the field of cloud infrastructures and services (IPCEI-CIS). This major project aims to strengthen the digital competitiveness of companies and national economies by developing their own capacities in centralized and decentralized data processing.
Additional companies, universities, and research institutions can now apply to develop innovative technologies and practical applications. These are intended to support the future European "multi-provider cloud edge continuum.".
The funding amount is up to 25 million euros per company and project, and the deadline for submitting project outlines is July 21, 2023.
Several key themes are being considered in this funding round, including mobility, energy efficiency, Industry 4.0, resilience and reliability of digital infrastructure, and health.
