The bioeconomy seeks to intelligently combine economic and ecological considerations, thereby enabling bio-based and sustainable economic growth. Germany is playing a pioneering role on the path to a bio-based economy. Numerous biological resources have already found their way into products and economic processes.
The brochure, published by the Federal Ministries of Education and Research (BMBF) and of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), explains Germany's position in the development of a sustainable bioeconomy with a view to relevant economic sectors.
