ONE Quantum: Education – Innovation – Networking

We are

ONE Quantum NRW

Quantum technologies are technologies and applications that are specifically based on the exploitation of quantum effects, i.e., the manipulation of matter at the atomic and subatomic level by exploiting the possibility of selectively controlling individual quantum objects.

Building on its outstanding academic landscape, North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) is ideally positioned to capitalize on the economic potential associated with its enormous technological advancements. On this page, we would therefore like to offer you, among other things, an overview of the existing expertise in quantum technologies in NRW, as well as opportunities to connect with relevant stakeholders and institutions in NRW. With the establishment of an office in early 2024, the state government is pursuing its goal, outlined in the current Future Agreement (coalition agreement 2022–2027), of making NRW a technology leader in quantum technologies.

EIN Quantum NRW is today a broad and active network of universities, non-university research institutions and companies that are significantly active in the field of quantum technologies.
